New Castle Knights vs Sydney Roosters
NRL Live Streaming 2013
Time: 28 July, Sunday 3:00 pm
VENUE : Hunter Stadium
HEAD TO HEAD: Played 42 – Knights 18, Roosters 22, Draws 2
LAST TIME: Round 9, 2012 – Roosters 24-6
MISSING IN ACTION:
Newcastle have been forced into one change with prop Kade Snowden out for the next two games through suspension. David Fa’alogo comes into the starting side with Korbin Sims and Zane Tetevano named on a five-man bench.
There’s a huge inclusion for the Roosters with superstar back-rower Sonny Bill Williams back from a hamstring strain. His return sees Mitchell Aubusson drop back to the bench, with Isaac Lui the man most likely to miss out on a spot in the 17.
After saying earlier this season he wasn’t sure which side would get off the bus each week, super coach Wayne Bennett appears to have the Knights firing at just the right time. They have now moved into fifth spot with a 32-14 demolition of the in-form Panthers last weekend. It was the club’s second straight win on the road and the third on the trot overall, the first time they have managed that this season.
The Roosters closed in on top spot with a 40-0 drubbing of an under-strength Cronulla last Saturday night. The shut-out was the fifth time this season the Roosters have kept an opposition side to nil, the first time that’s happened since the 1977 Roosters managed the same feat. Trent Robinson’s side have won five of their last six matches and enjoy a superior head-to-head record against the Knights (22-18).
